The High-Velocity Password Set-up On a PC |
|
The simple way for advanced users. |
Ready? Get set:
1. Go ahead and hit CTRL-ALT-DELETE to log on as you normally do.
2. Enter your username but leave the password blank.
3. You will be immediately asked to change your password. Enter your new password in the two new password fields. The password should be between 5-8 characters. It should include numbers and letters, but cannot contain the '@' symbol.
4. And you're done. The only snag that might come up is that a window may pop open asking you to set up or change your Windows NT Password. Click on Cancel. This
is how you fix it:
Back on the log in window, click on the Advanced button and then onto the Windows NT tab. On the From: pulldown menu, select CDA1. Then go ahead and click on OK. If this happens, please report the machine number to the CDA consultant.
