BruinOnline email from CDA

Checking your mail

We strongly suggest you do not use an email client or web browser to check your BruinOnline (BOL) email. Currently, CDA does not support email clients or web browsers for checking email. Everyone is urged to you a 'telnet' interface to connect and check mail.

NT:
From the 'Start' menu, choose 'Run...' and type 'telnet'. Then connect to 'bol.ucla.edu' and enter your BOL User ID and Password. Finally, select option 2.

Setting up a BruinOnline account

All students taking classes on computers in the CDA are required to have a BOL account. You can request an account from any Macintosh in the CDA by running "NCSA Telnet" and connecting to "access.ucla.edu". At the logon prompt, enter 'newuser'. See BOL's setup procedure for more instructions on this.
